women and children and to the wider community._

REFUGE SUPPORT WORKERS X 2 – FULL-TIME POSTS, **APPLY ON THE

(1 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
The post is * hours per week excluding lunch
breaks, fixed term duration with responsibility for supporting women
and children who have experienced domestic abuse/coercive control. The
work will involve working as part of a team to provide a range of
services to residents, e.g. key working, support planning and
advocacy. Women’s Aid Dundalk’s refuge operates on a **Apply on

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
ESSENTIAL:
* Third level qualification and/or two years’ experience of working
directly with women and children experiencing Domestic Abuse/Coercive
Control
* A commitment to professional development.
* Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent IT skills
* Empathetic attitude towards the needs of women and children
impacted by domestic abuse/coercive control.
* Experience of working co-operatively with other services and
relationship building.
* Experience assessing risk with women and safety planning.
* Commitment to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work on their own, and to seek support and guidance
when needed.
* Access to transport and full driving licence
DESIRABLE:
* Experience of Advocating on behalf of women.
